oDesk 5 tips for winning contracts

oDesk is one of the leading freelance job markets. With its excellent management, the company keeps growing. If you are a freelancer and you are looking for great clients, oDesk will prove out to be the best choice. Similarly, if you are looking for freelance contractors, you will find highly skilled and professional contractors on oDesk.

New freelancers can have tough time on oDesk due to high competition. More and more people are turning to freelancing and most of them work on oDesk. This means that new freelancers are going to find it a little hard to win contracts. However, with these tips, you can easily win contracts even when you are new.

. Try to learn about clients. I do not mean spying in any way but you can learn enough from the information about client provided by oDesk. You can find this information on the right side of the contract page.

. Think about the job as a client. Try to visualize his or her requirements. This will give you an idea what the client exactly wants. You will be able to write a better cover letter this way.

. If client has provided any instructions about the way cover letters should be written for the contract, follow all those instructions. Try to read the job description more than once so that you do not miss anything important.

. When writing your cover letter, get to the point straight away. If you will waste time writing about useless things, you will not be able to attract client’s attention. You should only write brief description of your skills and provide link to your portfolio. Similarly, you should only write a couple of lines about your past work history. Try to talk about the current job. Try to give some sketch or mindmap for the job. The client will realize that you have the right skill for the job. This will work in your favor.

. Always provide link to your portfolio in your cover letter. You can also create a portfolio on oDesk. If you are using an external link to your portfolio, then you should not provide any contact information there.

  1. Howdy! I could have sworn I've visited this website before but after browsing through many of the articles I realized it's new to me.
Anyhow, I'm definitely happy I found it and I'll be book-marking it and checking back frequently!

  2. I think everything published made a bunch of sense. However, what about this?
suppose you added a little information? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your website, but what if you added something that grabbed a person's attention?

I mean "oDesk 5 tips for winning contracts" is
kinda vanilla. You might glance at Yahoo's front page and watch how they write post titles to get viewers to click. You might add a video or a pic or two to grab people interested about everything've
got to say. Just my opinion, it could bring your posts a little bit more
    interesting.
