Google+ becomes the second biggest social network

A report by internet analytic company Global Web Index says that the Google+ is the second biggest social network in the world just behind the Facebook. Google+ has overtaken the Twitter in the fourth-quarter of the year 2012.
The report reveals that approximately 21% of the global internet population uses the Twitter and YouTube on a monthly basis, 25% using Google+ and rest 51% uses the Facebook on a monthly basis.
Google+ Office LogoGlobal Web Index used data from 31 countries, which contains 90% of the world’s population, and found that Google+ now has 343 million active users, while Twitter has 288 million active users. The active usage growth rate of Google+ and Twitter was clocked at 33% and 40%, respectively.
Coming on Facebook, it has 693 million active users, even though it has over a billion total members. Its growth percentage in terms of active usage was 33%.
