Angie Varona is the most Googled teen in the world. Pervs everywhere want to see her pictures, and thousands of people have been uploading pics of barely legal pre-teen girls in provocative poses and naming them Angie Varona.
The real Angie Varona is mortified.
Deeply embarrassed by an event that took place in 2007 when she was only 14 years old, Angie Varona became an overnight internet sensation and has struggled to lead a normal life ever since.
All she did was take a few photos of herself wearing underwear or bikinis, using her cell phone, and uploaded them to her private Photobucket site.
She had the intention of sharing the photos with her then boyfriend, which was not the most sensible thing in the world to do anyway, but she was only 14, and girls are doing that sort of thing regularly nowadays without consequence.
Not so for poor Angie Varona.
Someone hacked her Photobucket account and spread her photos around the web.
It reached Reddit dot com, specifically, it reached a subreddit section called 'Jailbait'. As someone who has visited Reddit and moved on quickly because the site is full of immature teens who seem to have found themselves a great home to bully and intimidate other users, and who seem to think they can say what they like and get away with it, I can't say I am surprised.
When so many perverts congregate in the one place, it is not surprising they can take the life of poor Angie Varona and turn it upside down.

Her
photos reached porn sites, barely legal sites (she was only 14,
remember) and of course, everyone in her school saw the pics.
She was pointed at, humiliated, embarrassed, called names including "slut" and "porn star".
She had to tell her parents, Juan and Maria, what had happened. Can you imagine how hard that must have been for her?
She, and her family, and finally their lawyer, chased down the sites
that carried her pics, but as soon as they got some taken down, more
sprang up.
It very quickly spiralled out of control, and the FBI were called in after someone tracked down her home address (she lives in Florida) and threatened her life.
No-one could stop the photos appearing, and the comments being made, because the photos were not pornographic and the authorities were powerless to act.
Such was the demand for yet more photos, people started Photoshopping the photos that were in circulation, including one where her bikini was Photoshopped off.
Other girls started appearing in provocative poses under her name, and still the demand increased.

bandwagon with little regard to the damage they have done, and are doing
to, the real Angie Varona.
If YOU are one of the these people, or one of the Redditers that spread this evil in the first place, then you should hang your head in shame.
The ONLY person who should have benefited from this spectacle, should have been Angie Varona herself. Instead, she has had to be home schooled for her own protection, and has had to put up with death threats and even a threat from someone who apparently wanted "to rape her".
Let this be a warning to all youngsters out there.
Do not take or upload photographs that you would not want your parents to see. Do not give out personal details online. Stop thinking that Facebook is your private online space, because it isn't, it's public.
